The first steps to building long-term sustainable results are to build a solid foundation.
In this step we prioritize eating whole foods and setting a protein goal.

Through step one, initial results will already start to show. Now is when we look to optimize the metabolism for effective fat loss and continual muscle gain.
We begin this phase by tracking calories for a week. Finding where Maintenance Calories are currently at, we then can decide what action we take next.
If I feel the individual’s current metabolism and maintenance calories are not in a healthy spot to decrease from, then we will move to step 3.
If I feel the individual’s current metabolism and maintenance calories are in a healthy spot to decrease from (at a minimum of 2500 calories a day), we will move straight to step 4.

This step is necessary to create results that are sustainable.
After tracking calories for a minimum of a week, we will begin the reverse diet.
To begin the Reverse Diet, we add 50-100 calories to the individual’s maintenance calorie intake each.
Each week we add 50-100 calories.
During this process we begin incorporating strength training to build muscle mass. This assists in revving up your metabolism, ensuring that the extra calories contribute to muscle rather than fat.
While this process is taking place I am keeping a close eye on the individual and their weight. Making adjustments to calorie intake depending on how there body is changing.
Once the individual’s calories are maintaining at what I feel is a healthy spot, we can move to step 4.
